Dr. Shar.jpg

Dr. Shar has been practicing as a dentist for over 25 years since graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is the founder and owner of Heartland Dental Assisting, which she began in 2011 and had accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education in 2016. She started this program as a more, “affordable education opportunity” for those unable to afford the expensive cost of the standard 2-year programs. She hopes with this program she can help others find fulfillment in a job that they love and can continue to learn and grow into for many years to come.

Candi is the lead instructor for Heartland Dental Assisting. Having graduated from Vatterott Dental Assisting in 2004, Candi has over 15 years of dental assisting experience. She has the knowledge needed to teach students all they will need to be successful when they graduate from the program. She loves her job as an instructor, because it gives her the ability to meet and help new people who are ready to start a new journey towards a career that they will love just as much as she does.

Jordan and Makayla.jpg

Jordan and Makayla are both graduates of Heartland Dental Assisting. After completing the program, they both took a position as dental assistants and front office managers at Eagle Run Dental. When they are not helping keep the dental office running smoothly, they are bringing in new students to the program, as well as helping instruct and answer any questions they may have. They love getting to know all the new students that come through the program and helping them be as successful as they can.
